Job Description:
As a 1099 Sales Representative for Independent, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients within the optical industry. You will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, understanding customer needs, and promoting our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
• Identify and target potential clients within the optical industry, including optometrists, ophthalmologists, and eyewear retailers.
• Develop and maintain a sales pipeline to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Present our lenses to potential clients.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts to close sales deals.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
Product Knowledge:
• Provide technical information and training to clients about our products and their benefits.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the optical industry.
• Attend training sessions and product knowledge workshops to continuously improve your understanding of our offerings.
Market Research:
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and threats in the optical industry.
• Keep up-to-date with competitor products, pricing, and market trends.
• Provide feedback to the company on market insights and client needs.
Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of sales activities, including client interactions, sales leads, and follow-up actions.
• Provide regular sales reports to the management team.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a lab sales representative in the optical industry, with a strong network of client relationships.
• Demonstrated success in managing and growing an existing book of business.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to travel within the designated sales territory.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Basic knowledge of optical products and industry trends.
Compensation:
This is a 1099 contract position, and compensation will be based on a commission structure, with the potential for a competitive commission rate. You will have the opportunity to earn uncapped income based on your performance.

Job Details
The Lab Technician is a is a versatile and skilled professional responsible for a wide range of tasks in the optical laboratory. This role combines various responsibilities, such as lens preparation, equipment maintenance, quality control, and general support to ensure the efficient operation of the optical lab. The Lab Tech is expected to work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lens Preparation:
o Cutting and shaping lenses according to prescription specifications using automated and manual equipment.
o Inspecting lenses for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards.
o Using fine optical tools to manipulate frame and lenses for proper fit.
o Coating and tinting lenses as required.
Cross-Training:
o Willingness to learn and perform various roles within the optical lab as needed, such as frame fitting, edging, or lens inspection.
o Gain an understanding of DVI, the lab management system.
Equipment Maintenance:
o Routine maintenance and calibration of optical lab machinery and tools.
o Reporting any malfunctions or breakdowns to the supervisor for prompt repair.
Quality Control:
o Conducting thorough inspections of finished lenses to check for accuracy and visual quality.
o General understanding of optical concepts including prism and the ANSI tolerances.
o Identifying and addressing any imperfections or errors in the production process.
Inventory Management:
o Monitoring and replenishing supplies of lens blanks, coatings, and other materials as needed.
o Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
Equipment Operation:
o Operating optical equipment including manual and auto lensometers and automatic frame tracers.
Safety Compliance:
o Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
o Reporting any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
Team Collaboration:
o Collaborating effectively with fellow technicians and supervisors to meet production quotas and quality standards.
o Assisting other team members when necessary.
Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional optical technician training or certification is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Optical Lab Technician.
• Technical Skills: Ability to insert lenses into multiple frame styles, measure and verify optical measurements, inspect lenses for cosmetic standards, and read manual and automatic lensometers.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination while working with lenses or operating machinery.
• Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organization and time-management skills to ensure efficient workflow.
• Quality-Oriented: Commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in all aspects of the job.
